What is this program about?
This Program is about helping others,…. as well as gaining new skills and experience, and perhaps about just doing something that you enjoy. It is also likely that you will develop solid friendships with people who share a common passion…Music.
Some time ago, we realized that without the help of our “friends”, who have volunteered their time, we could not have achieved what we have to date. Many of our activities operate at very low, or “Zero” profitability…ie MusiPlex Academy and Studios. In addition, we occasionally host or are involved in “benefit” type events where the profit from the event will go to a “Worthy cause”. Volunteers and Sponsors, will help us to more often support these events, which will benefit the community as well as us all.
As an example, in the near future, we hope to find sponsors who will assist us in providing free musical instruction to children who otherwise would not be able to attend. We believe that the gift of music should be for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
This program is about recognizing individuals, groups and companies who continue to assist us in our endeavors. It helps us to “track” the efforts of our Volunteers so that we may ensure that their efforts are recognized and occasionally rewarded.
In similar fashion, this program offers Internship opportunities to those individuals, usually students, who are receiving valuable on-the-job work experience and training to supplement their studies.
A database of all Volunteer hours will be maintained by individual, department, and type of activity. All Volunteers and Interns will be asked to complete a “Green” slip at the end of each day or event so that we can add the info to our data base and we will periodically post individual efforts.
We hope to occasionally hold events for all of those who have Volunteered and to show special recognition to individuals who have shown special effort.
In addition, a reward system will further recognize the efforts of Volunteers as they accumulate hours. Volunteers will be eligible for free passes to events, rehearsal studio time etc.
Volunteers bring with them the skills, talents and training that they already possess, however from time to time we will provide specialized training in our activities that they have expressed an aptitude and an interest.
Safety is a very high priority, and we urge all Staff and Volunteers to take their time and not undertake any task that they may deem dangerous or beyond their physical capability.
We also remind Volunteers that a balance of life is necessary for us all…..family, work, friends, and hobbies or interests etc.
As much as we appreciate your efforts, we do not want to upset that balance, so please, only spare us the time that is reasonable for your situation.
1.1 What are some of the opportunities?
The opportunities will be extremely varied, simple to complex, a few minutes to a few days. They will also change from day to day, therefore, we will be frequently posting Volunteer jobs on our bulletin board as well as on our website.
Here are a few examples of help that is or may be needed:

- Carpenters or Handyman jobs
- Electrical or Plumbing helpers
On going jobs:
- Administrative assistants for our Music School
- Bookeeping Clerks…assist our Accountant
- Jr. Sound & Lighting Technicians
- Housekeeping helpers
- Security Assistants
- Instrument Repair Trainee’s
- Event general helpers
- Event stage hands
- Promotion and marketing helpers
- Street Team Members
1.1 How do I find out about new opportunities?
New opportunities are posted on our “Bulletin Board” outside of our retail store in the hallway, as well as on our website www.musiplex.com under “opportunities”. We are always interested in talking to new folks who share our vision.You can also just give us a call or ask a staff member.
1.2 Volunteer Program
Our need for Volunteers will very depending upon the time of year and Events that may be happening. We do our best to match individual talents and skills with Events and needs.
