Clements Family Benefit !
A Great Nite and a Great Cause ! Help us make a difference in their lives...
On November 22, 2008 BeaverBeats.com and many members of the greater Fredericton Community will be coming together to present “A Clements Family Benefit”. This is a benefit concert being held to raise money for a young mother and her family who have a challenging road ahead. Kelly Clements is a 27-year-old mother of three beautiful kids; Kason , Kasidy and Nevaeh . Kelly is an especially busy mother due to the fact that her oldest son, Kason, suffers from extreme brain damage he suffered as an infant. Kason had a seizure at the age of 15 months, which left him confined to a wheel chair and unable to move, talk or eat on his own. He requires 24-hour care.
Kason not only requires 24-hour care, he also frequently has to be taken to Halifax and Montreal for appointments with different specialists. He suffers from problems with his lungs, hips and spine and will require surgery on all of them within the next few years. He is currently g-tube fed, which means he is fed by a machine through a tube that hooks into a port in his stomach.
Kelly has never stopped since he first got sick trying to find something to help him.
Only months ago Kelly went to the doctor and found out that she has a rare type of breast cancer. She has been undergoing Chemotherapy at Radiation since then.
Kelly is unable to work due to the fact she has to stay home and care for her son, Kason. Her husband is currently working to support the family but unfortunately they have no health coverage to help pay for the cost of cancer drugs, anti-nausea pills, traveling, the cost of supporting Kason and general childcare during this time.

It’s hard to tell who is enjoying themselves the most, the musicians or the audience when the River Valley Fiddlers are playing at MusiPlex on Fredericton’s Northside.
Every other Wednesday evening the “Fiddlers” take the big stage and skillfully entertain a grateful crowd who spend the evening listening, dancing and enjoying a pot luck lunch midway thru the night. For an admission of $3.00 each, participants enjoy 3 hours of fun, socializing and great music from 7:00p.m. until 10:00p.m. See schedule above for dates...
